Indian ‘Global Award’ goes to Bad Ems, Germany
During a grand celebration in the presence of 250 invited guests and media representatives in the festival hall of the state ministry building, Smt Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister of the State of Delhi presented the award to the winner Lothar Pirc, chairman and co-founder of the Maharishi Ayurveda Private Clinic in Bad Ems, Germany, which specialises in the ancient Indian system of natural medicine, Ayurveda.
In his words of introduction, Dr Aslam Javed, General Secretary of India’s Hakim Ajmal Khan Memorial Society (HAKMS), explained that the award for 2007 in the category of ‘Organizational and Social Services’ went to the Maharishi Ayurveda Clinic because of its efforts and services in the research, application and widespread promotion of Vedic Science in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Russia.

Only 3 days after the Minister of State for Health and Family from the Government of India, Mrs Panabaka Lakshmi, had visited the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre Bad Ems to see what is happening in Germany in regards to Ayurveda another Minister of State, Mrs. Suryakanta Patil, Minister for Rural Development and Parliamentary Affairs, also from the Government of India, has given the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre Bad Ems the honour of an official visit. She was very delighted to see Ayurveda being applied in Germany in such a pure quality and she stated the following in the clinic’s guestbook:
